Seahawks win against the Redskins 27-17

Russell made some impressive plays even to point were he called his own audibles without calling an audible. Most of those runs he has the option of handing the ball off to the running in which he chose to keep the ball. He rushed for 122 yards the most of any NFL quarterback on Monday night. It's almost like the read option. Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan have to do better with their responsibility of having outside containment. It's obvious that Russell Wilson is a smart qb that doesn't like to get hit. So if those defensive ends or any in the near future play the as if they are waiting for the naked bootleg. Then they hit him a few times then he will start handing the ball off. It's the same concept when handling the option running quarterbacks.

Dallas Cowboys beat the Houston Texans in a Thriller 20-17 in overtown

I don't think that Romo gets the credit that he deserves. He finally has a defense that is playing well. How many people can make All Pro J.J. Watt miss? If Romo had more weapons then he would excel in the playoffs taking some of that pressure off of him.

NorthWestern upsets #17 Wisconsin

After starting the season 0-2 losing 31-24 to California and 23-15 to Northern Illinois. They won 3 straight games and they are at Minnesota next week. It should be a good test for them because Minnesota haven't lost at home this season.

#12 Mississippi State beats #6 Texas A&M 48-31

With this win against Texas A & M and the win last week against LSU this win should put Mississippi State in the top 10 in AP Poll. Great game but with about 5 mins to go in the game Coach Dan Mullan left his quarterback Prescott in the game. I would have pulled him because at the point they already had the game won. Maybe the coach left him in there to pat his stats in hopes of the Heisman. Another test will come next week against Auburn the good thing is that the game is at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

Jets Quarterback Controversy Numbers Never Lie Micheal Smith question

Micheal Smith from ESPN's Numbers Never Lie wanted to know why the Jets brought in Vick to back up Geno Smth. I answered his question in the video below.

New England Patriots problems

There are somethings that the Patriots organization could do better. I think the play calling has to change in order to help Tom Brady & the line out. When you make the play calling a little simpler so that the offensive line can gain confidence. Quick screens, draw plays and other short plays can help an offensive line.

Steve Smith Sr. redemption against the Panthers

Steve Smith Sr. is balling right now for the Baltimore Ravens at the age of 35 really out there playing like he 25 but whose counting. Age doesn't really matter as long as you taking care of your body and staying in shape. I understand his reaction that he made in response to the Panthers comments after the game. All he needs to due is continue playing with a chip on his shoulder. My advice would be that from now every team that I play against is the Carolina Panthers and if he does that then he will be in the Pro Bowl at wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens.

Browns GM Ray Farmer says Brian Hoyer is better than Johnny Manziel "by a substantial margin"

Johnny Manziel has only been in Cleveland for 10 days. The head coach of the Cleveland Browns said that Manziel was inconsistent which is what he is supposed to be. It is expected. We all know that Manziel is talented athlete. All Manziel needs to do is take this as motivation. It's just another opportunity to prove his doubters wrong. Everyone that is a Cleveland Browns may not be sold on Manziel yet. Hoyer showed potential and Manziel just has to wait his turn. Manziel just needs to spend more time in the playbook and watching film on himself so that he can improve himself. I think Ray Farmer said this to motivate Johnny to be better so that it would also bring more competition to Hoyer. A lot of people didn't give Manziel a chance to beat Nick Saban and the Tide. Manziel will get his chance to prove himself in preseason.

Pacers/Hawks game 3 recap

Should Hibbert be benched? I don't think so. He just a pep talk. Feed him the ball and tell him to dunk it. He needs to get tough maybe even watch some film of how Shaq would do. This is the NBA playoffs. This team has proven what it takes to be a contender. The problem is they are just now realizing that you have to do it night in and night out. They were so hype on getting the #1 seed and getting got them down 2-1 in the series. The Hawks believe they can beat them and when you play a team that you are better than and they believe that can be you. Then you are in a dangerous place. The Pacers shut up critics in game 2 but they have to win the series. They are too focused on the Heat whom they may not play in the finals. They need to re-establish their goals. Take it 1 game at a time. Paul George needs to step up as the leader of this team. Indiana shot a 25% (5for 20) from the three point line inwhich they have to get better. The Hawks shot 35%. The Hawks out played them in the 3rd quarter 28-20. The Hawks just have their number right now & Pacers need to answer. No one is going to give you a championship you have to earn it. The bright spot for Indiana is that Scola is playing much better than in game 1. I believe the Hawks will still win the series.

Pacers/Hawks recap game 1

I wasn't at all surprised that the Hawks beating the Pacers. At half time the score was tied up & when a team feels like they have a chance to win. Then they can play better than expected. The Pacers struggled on offensive late in the season. The lost against the Cavs big & the Hawks feel like they have a chance. If the Pacers don't get it together then they will be at home. They wanted the #1 and they got it. Sometimes you can bite off more than you can chew. The momentum has swung in the Hawks favor. The Hawks won in the 3rd quarter 30-16. Jeff Teague had a playoff career in 28 points. We have to remember that the Hawks are 3-0 at the center against the Pacers. Just keep that in mind because they feel like they can beat the Pacers and they proved that in Game 1. George had a great game leading in 5 categories for the Pacers 24 points, 1o rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks. The Hawks came out firing on all cylinders with 16-2 run to start the game. What good is it to have the #1 seed and you can't make to the finals. A championship is still a championship depsite what seed you start with. The Pacers have to play their game and bring the momentum back in their favor but it will very difficult. Indiana did have some positive things to pull from this game they lead in rebounds, points in the paint, offensive rebounds, fast break points and turnovers a category that you don't want to lead in. Game 2 back in Indiana

Rockets/Blazers Game 1 recap

This was a great game to watch. The Rockets gave the game away. When Aldridge & Lopez went out. The Rockets should have put their foot on the gas pedal. They took the Blazers bench players lightly. I do believe the refs made a bad call when Howard traveled then again he was called for his 6th foul so I guess it balances itself out. You have to give credit to the Blazers for stepping up. The Blazers also played good defense on Harded down the stretch. Aldridge played like a man on a misson. It's playoff time. Play Hard or Go Home.

Cowboys release Ware a 7time Pro Bowler

They couldn't get a deal done where both teams where happy. Ware has been injury prone the last 2 years & wants 16 million a year. Jerry Jones wanted him to stay but a much cheaper cost. Ware is the Cowboys All-Time sack leader with 117 but his amount of money wanted must have been too much. The Cowboys will need to find a line backer in the draft or in the free angency. I think that Ware should've taken a pay cut but he may want to test the market. Sometimes a player comes to a point in their career where it's time for a change.

Blake Griffin scuffle

PTI on ESPN is discussing Should he fight back? TJ Tucker punched Blake & Blake didn't hit him back. So they said that Blake should have punched him back. What is this world coming 2? It was a great example for the children to see how to repsond. If Blake gets suspended then he hurts the team and their chances of making a deep playoff run. Really?

Broncos Chargers Halftime recap 14-0

If the Chargers want to win then they have to take advantage of the mistakes of the Broncos. The Broncos 1st drive when Manning threw a potential interception. They have to capitalize on it. Also the missed field goal by the Chargers ended up being a bad hold by the holder. The football was positioned down instead of up or straight like it should've been. Rivers has to move a little bit more out of the pocket then reposition himself while looking down field. Manning let a few balls get away from him along with the int that he threw. It was a bad decision and he should have made a better throw the play before. If the Chargers want to win then they have to find a way to force turnovers and stay offsides on defense.

Johnny Manziel on going to the NFL

I thought he should've stayed in college another year but if he is going to go then has to learn how to slide and not dive. When Micheal Vick came in the league he had two seperated shoulders against Pittsburgh & Cleveland. Manziel was banged up a few times in college and the NFL pays players to hit people especially the quarter back and when you don't slide you are free game plus he only weighs about 209 lbs if that. He has to go to a team that gets him weapons and has decent offensive line. They don't have to be that great because he can scramble. The team would have to have a similar system like Drew Brees and the Saints. Manziel likes to prove people wrong especially his doubters so I do believe that he will go to the NFL and if he does stay it will be a very good reason. He also has to get better at his decision making because having too many in the NFL can get you fired.

Bears sign Jay Cutler to a 7 yr deal

If I were the Bears I would see where Josh McCown would take them. Its obvious that he out played the starter in Cutler. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. You could've franchised him for the last in order for him to prove himself worthy of a new contract. We can look at Flacco and he proved himself but the Ravens took away a key weapon and you can see where it got them. People talk about McCown being 34 but Peyton Manning is 37 and what's wrong with giving McCown a 3year contract of proving himself. Philly did it with Foles and he improved. I wouldn't have gave Cutler a new deal.

Pittsburgh Steelers got the short end of the stick

Is it fair to say that Pittsburgh got cheated? I would say yes because according to ESPN a call should have been made according when the Chargers lined up illegally on the field goal attempt. A five yard penalty should have been called & another attempt should have been made. Either way the Chiefs should have placed the ball in the middle of the field to make it an easier attempt. Also I believe that it was a fumble by the Chargers full back. His feet were still moving forward and he lost the ball. Now if his forward progress were stopped then I would agree with the call. All in all Pittsburgh has to wake up earlier in the season and take control of their own destiny.
