Amy Chua is the
John M. Duff, Jr. Professor of Law at Yale Law School. She has written several
books that include World on Fire: How Exporting Free Market Democracy Breeds
Ethnic Hatred and Global Instability, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother and her
most recent book Day of Empire: How Hyperpowers Rise to Global Dominance—and
Why They Fall. She lives in New Haven CT with her husband and two daughters.
She also has two Samoyeds that live with her as well. One of her books was inspired by her daughter’s
rebellion.
