Broncos Chargers Halftime recap 14-0

If the Chargers want to win then they have to take advantage of the mistakes of the Broncos. The Broncos 1st drive when Manning threw a potential interception. They have to capitalize on it. Also the missed field goal by the Chargers ended up being a bad hold by the holder. The football was positioned down instead of up or straight like it should've been. Rivers has to move a little bit more out of the pocket then reposition himself while looking down field. Manning let a few balls get away from him along with the int that he threw. It was a bad decision and he should have made a better throw the play before. If the Chargers want to win then they have to find a way to force turnovers and stay offsides on defense.

Johnny Manziel on going to the NFL

I thought he should've stayed in college another year but if he is going to go then has to learn how to slide and not dive. When Micheal Vick came in the league he had two seperated shoulders against Pittsburgh & Cleveland. Manziel was banged up a few times in college and the NFL pays players to hit people especially the quarter back and when you don't slide you are free game plus he only weighs about 209 lbs if that. He has to go to a team that gets him weapons and has decent offensive line. They don't have to be that great because he can scramble. The team would have to have a similar system like Drew Brees and the Saints. Manziel likes to prove people wrong especially his doubters so I do believe that he will go to the NFL and if he does stay it will be a very good reason. He also has to get better at his decision making because having too many in the NFL can get you fired.

Bears sign Jay Cutler to a 7 yr deal

If I were the Bears I would see where Josh McCown would take them. Its obvious that he out played the starter in Cutler. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. You could've franchised him for the last in order for him to prove himself worthy of a new contract. We can look at Flacco and he proved himself but the Ravens took away a key weapon and you can see where it got them. People talk about McCown being 34 but Peyton Manning is 37 and what's wrong with giving McCown a 3year contract of proving himself. Philly did it with Foles and he improved. I wouldn't have gave Cutler a new deal.

Pittsburgh Steelers got the short end of the stick

Is it fair to say that Pittsburgh got cheated? I would say yes because according to ESPN a call should have been made according when the Chargers lined up illegally on the field goal attempt. A five yard penalty should have been called & another attempt should have been made. Either way the Chiefs should have placed the ball in the middle of the field to make it an easier attempt. Also I believe that it was a fumble by the Chargers full back. His feet were still moving forward and he lost the ball. Now if his forward progress were stopped then I would agree with the call. All in all Pittsburgh has to wake up earlier in the season and take control of their own destiny.

Nick Saban decision to stay in Alabama

He was thinking about going to Texas because of the challenege. Recruiting wouldn't have been a problem. I would've stayed too because the love him in Alabama. They gave them the money because it was a chance that he would leave. The way Mack Brown was treated obviously helped make his decision a little easier. Texas wanted to see what Saban was going to do first. 7 million to 7.5 million is a great contract all with the incentives of getting to the national championship is around 4 million as well. Great decision Saban.

Redskin's Coach Shanahan's Made a good decision to sit RG3

It was a great decision to sit RG3 for health reasons. Lasten year when he played RG3 through his injuries he was scrutinized for keeping him in and he was talked about for playing him to early at the beginning of the season. RG3 was the 2nd most hit QB in the NFL being hit 102 times only behind Cam Newton who was hit 122. Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill are tied for 3rd place with 84 hits. It is obvious that his mobilty isn't were it was a year ago down at 36 yards a game from 58 yards a game. RG3 QBR in 2012 was 74 and this year it is 40. Last year he had 6 rushing TD's and this year he has 0. I do believe that the coach's son Kyle should've supported his dad the coach's decision. All his comments did was add fuel to the fire about why he sat RG3. Michael Irvin comments were out of line and I believe that he was mad because you can tell how fired up he was during his turn. It seemed as if it was his turn to get back at Shanahan for some reason. Shanahan made the right decision because if he would've keep RG3 in the remaining games and a similar situation would've happened like last year he would've never heard the end of it. I also believe that RG3 should've keep his comments to his self. You can't blame it on the coach when your not performing to the best of your abilities. He has to stop staring down recievers when he throws.

Jacksonville Jaguars should sign Tim Tebow

The Jacksonville Jaguars should sign quarterback Tim Tebow to a 2 year deal to see how things will work out for both of them. If next year he improves their season then a restructured contract can happen. I will point out several reasons why it would benefit the Jaguar organization. On October 21,2013 the USA today paper stated that the maximum capacity in the Jaguar stadium is 67,164 and that only 59,550 were utilized in paid attendance which left 7,214 unused. Florida is Tebow's home territory and the fans would LOVE it if they signed Tebow. It would definitely generate a lot of money for the organization. His jersey would definitely sell like pancakes at Denny's. Don't believe according to Forbes on NFLshop.com from April 1, 2012-July 31, 2012 Tebow was 3rd in front of names such as Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Drew Brees, and Tony Romo who most people would said is more accurate. What some people fail to realize is a quarterback needs help from his receivers as well. The great receivers can adjust well to the ball in the air. When running a route a receiever is taught to look back for the ball after the 1st three steps just incase the quarterback is in trouble and then he can be a hot route. For example when a receiver runs a 10 yard out or in and they round it off instead of making a sharp cut. That gives the Defensive back an extra second or two to step in front of him and intercept the ball. The good corners can do that. It is harder for the DB to intercept the ball when the receiver runs a great route. Tebow could benefit from a Wide Receiver like Lokey Howell who they could sign for the league minimum for 1 year to try him out. Remember when Tebow was in Denver and everyone was talking about his faith and how much successful he was when he was there. Just imagine if Tebow's and Howell's Faith were somehow connected. They would definitely make the playoffs next year and make a run for the superbowl. If you look at Peyton Manning and the weapons he has. The Broncos even brought in an extra weapon in Wes Welker and he also has Eric Decker not to mention Demaryius Thomas who by the way Tim Tebow used to help beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs. Teams with good quarterbacks get them weapons and you can even look at Tom Brady and how he struggled before his tightend came back. During the preseason everyone was talking about who was Brady going to throw to well how would Tim Tebow make the Patriots team if Brady had no one to throw to. That meant that Tebow wouldn't anyone to throw to either. The Patriots had weapons in place but Aaron Hernandez was a setback and Rob Gronkowski was out for part of the season. Even Brees and Wilson have weapons. You can look at how Flacco is struggling due to the departure of Boldin. So Tebow needs some weapons and the tickets will sell like crazy. Even when Tebow became the 3rd string quarterback for the Patriots during the preseason where a tweet was made that he would have #5 in during training camp in Foxboro it had 886 retweets and 277 favorites even though we need he still had to make the team and that Brady would still be the starting QB. So the Jaguars will make good money from this deal and even possibly success on the field and not to mention that the fans would be over-excited. The 1st home game would be sold out.
